TMJ or temporomandibular joint disorder is when the joint between the jaw ans skull isn’t working properly. This is a complex joint, for moving the jaw in multiple directions. Any improper movement of the joint can cause problem. The TMJ may make popping sounds to getting stuck in 1 position. You may also have headaches, tenderness, improper alignment of teeth, pain when opening your mouth.
When your experience one or more of these symptoms, come see me before you choose a complicated and expensive procedure. Most of the time a soft tissue and gentle alignment of the TMJ will fix the problem, along with the dos and don’t associated with TMJ care. I have treated patients with the TMJ locked open to patients with headaches. We have great success in treating TMJ problems.
